*If we do not accept your insurance, you may have Out-of-Network benefits (OON) that will cover a portion of your sessions. Please call your insurance company to check your OON benefits to determine the cost per session.

If you plan on using your out of network reimbursement benefits, contact your health insurance provider and ask the following questions:

    1. Do I have out-of-network coverage?

    2. Does my out-of-network health insurance plan include mental health benefits?

    3. What dollar amount or percentage of each psychotherapy session is reimbursed or covered? These codes may help you:

    4. Initial/First Intake Appointment: CPT Code 90791

    5. Ongoing Weekly Appointments: CPT Code 90837

    6. How many outpatient mental health or psychotherapy sessions per calendar year are covered by my health plan?

    7. Do I need a pre-approval, pre-authorization, or referral from my primary care physician in order for services to be covered?

  • Counseling appointments are typically scheduled on a once-a-week basis to begin with. As you make progress with your goals, it may be recommended to decrease the session frequency

  • If you are using your insurance and we are in-network, your coverage will apply. For example, if you normally pay a $25 co-pay with your general physician, the same co-pay typically applies to each counseling session. If you have not met your deductible, you will be charged the full price for each counseling appointment until your deductible is met.

The full counseling fee per 50-minute session is $150.

If we are out of network (OON), you may have OON benefits. Please check with your insurance company to determine your OON benefits.

If you have OON benefits, we can provide you with documentation that you can submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement.

  • It varies. Therapy is not a quick fix. Each client’s needs are addressed individually.

If a sudden unexpected crisis has occurred and you are needing support to manage it, it may take only 4-6 weeks. However, if you are seeking therapy due to something that has been with you for many years of your life, it is likely that it will take at least 3 months to begin to notice progress toward your goals.

How long therapy lasts will be an ongoing conversation that you and the therapist will have during the course of treatment.

  • With your signed consent. we coordinate care with your providers and update your progress with them every 90 days.

  • During your first appointment, you will meet with your therapist for an hour session that will be focused on going over your responses from the initial paperwork that was emailed to you. During this first appointment, we want to thoroughly understand what brings you to counseling, the expectations you have, your history, and any past trauma that may have occurred. We will also co-create strength-focused goals for future therapy sessions.

  • Your time is incredibly valuable to us, so we ensure that we set our time aside with no other distractions or overlapping client bookings. As a result, we’ve implemented the following policies for our clients to follow:

If you are unable to attend a scheduled session, please make sure you cancel at least 24 hours beforehand by texting your counselor.

Failure to provide a 24-hour notice from the time of your scheduled appointment will consequently result in a $75 late cancellation fee.

No-shows will be charged the full-rate session fee.

  • Most people seek counseling because they have exhausted all avenues of self-help. They are now looking for a trained clinician and someone who cares and can devote time to them on a one-to-one basis.

Up to this point, you may have tried many different avenues and feel like you need more assistance. That’s why we’re here.

Seeking counseling does not mean that you are ‘crazy’ or something is wrong with you. Quite the opposite

It simply means you need help right now and you have the self-awareness and courage to ask for that help. You’ve come to the right place. We would be honored to hear your story and help facilitate the healing process.

We all go through tough times in life. Having someone on your side who will listen, compassionately challenge you, and teach you ways to engage in healthy patterns of thinking, feeling, and relating with others to promote a more fulfilling life is what we are focused on at Everthrive Counseling.
